Potterton E50 Fault Code

Potterton Combi Boiler displaying an E50 fault code, this is an issue with a sensor that controls the hot water. The part is less than £20 and should be fitted within 1 hour depending on access to the boiler.

This particular one took 45 minutes as the boiler was in a small cupboard and difficult to drain down.

Tip:

Always try to reset your boiler before calling out an engineer.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Turn the knob to the RESET position or push the RESET button

2. Hold it there foe 3-5 seconds

3. Release knob or button

4. Turn on your heating or if you have a combi, run the hot water.
